About Us

Founded in 1984, the Washington Men's Camerata has dedicated itself to the performance, promotion, and preservation of men's choral music, achieving renown for its exceptional musical quality and educational outreach. Now under the visionary leadership of Artistic Director Scott Tucker, our concerts are designed to captivate a broad audience with their musicality and expressive interpretations, while our educational programs aim to inspire the next generation of singers through workshops and collaborations with schools and universities.

Significant initiatives like the Demetrius Project underline our commitment to preserving the heritage of men's choral music by making rare collections accessible, and our collaborations with orchestras and recording companies help expand the genre's reach. Our artistic achievements have led to performances at prestigious venues and recognition on national platforms like NPR, solidifying our role in enriching and ensuring the legacy of men's choral music.
